Interface: BigIntegerValue
Section titled “Interface: BigIntegerValue”Defined in: src/types/values.ts:259
An arbitrary-precision integer, carried as its decimal string.
Remarks
Section titled “Remarks”A string because JSON numbers are IEEE-754 doubles and lose precision above
2^53. Convert with BigInt(value.value) when you need arithmetic.
Declare an arbitrary-precision feature expected_type_hint: "BigInteger"
("bigint" and "bignum" parse to the same hint). The engine’s type-hint
check admits:
- under
BigInteger— aBigIntegeror anIntegervalue; - under
Integer— anIntegeror aBigIntegervalue; - under
Real— aReal, anIntegeror aBigIntegervalue.
Under every hint an Uninstantiated, Reference or PsiTerm value is
admitted too (residuation), and a Domain or Choice is judged element by
element. Measured against the live engine: a feature declared BigInteger
accepts a 39-digit BigInteger and an Integer (201) and refuses a
String (422).
