Interface: ReplaceFunctionResponse
Section titled “Interface: ReplaceFunctionResponse”Defined in: src/types/functions.ts:608
Result of replacing a registered function’s definition.
Properties
Section titled “Properties”arityChanged
Section titled “arityChanged”arityChanged:
boolean
Defined in: src/types/functions.ts:629
true when the arity changed.
Remarks
Section titled “Remarks”A function’s identity is its NAME, so a replacement keeps every caller’s reference valid — nothing dangles. That is exactly what makes an arity change dangerous rather than merely breaking: every call still resolves, and one passing the old argument count starts failing at evaluation time.
callers
Section titled “callers”callers:
FunctionCaller[]
Defined in: src/types/functions.ts:635
Everything that calls this function. Reported rather than refused: the replacement keeps the name resolvable, so no caller is orphaned — but one written against the old signature may no longer be correct.
current
Section titled “current”current:
FunctionSummaryDto
Defined in: src/types/functions.ts:619
What the replacement looks like.
functionId
Section titled “functionId”functionId:
string
Defined in: src/types/functions.ts:615
The replacement’s id. A fresh registration mints a new one, so it differs from the previous definition’s.
name:
string
Defined in: src/types/functions.ts:610
The function’s name — unchanged by the replacement, by construction.
previous
Section titled “previous”previous:
FunctionSummaryDto
Defined in: src/types/functions.ts:617
What the replaced definition looked like.
